A note from the creators, JiEun Jung and Pascale Potvin:

We chose to create this film in order to take a peak at the relationship Queen’s University has with mental health issues. What efforts are being made to help students living with mental illness? Are these efforts effective? How are the issues being discussed among students? Are certain mental health experiences less discussed than others? It is admittedly difficult to thoroughly address these questions in a five-minute film. We decided that a simple “talking heads” film would be most efficient – a set of interviews with students living with mental health issues and/or working for mental health groups on campus. We did our best to recruit students of different organizations, of different ends of a mental health spectrum, and of different academic years in order to showcase the differing perspectives that exist in the Queen’s mental health community.

This project was challenging, but very special and eye opening for both of us and we are very grateful to have gotten a chance to do it.
